Jamber Wine Pub: Reviews & Ratings
While my first experience wasn't ideal, the staff did their best to make it as good as possible. I could tell right away that the staff really wanted the place to succeed. The food was not amazing but, it was well above average. They included quality ingredients and attention to detail. Since then I've been back several times and it's only gotten better. The staff is on it, the food is decadent and the flights are well worth your time. It's a great space too.
Great neighborhood wine pub that is interest for happy hour or dinner. The wine flights are a great value and come in adorable little mason jars with labels. The menu has great gluten free and veggie options. I really enjoy the tater tots.
This was a super cool little place! We were walking by on our way to dinner and decided to swing in for a few drinks! We ordered some tater tots while we there and they were AMAZING!! They came with a bacon jam that turned the flavor up a few notches! The wine was good. They have wine on tap there, so it's a pretty cool place to hit. The atmosphere was cool and hip. I'm a fan of wine bars in general. I'll for sure put this on my list of places to frequent while I'm in town. After we finished here we continued out journey to dinner! I love how walkable SF is and how you can food / bar hop all night and walk the city.
This is a great new spot in SoMa, just a few blocks from City Beer, the staff was friendly, the environment was very relaxed. They had a large variety of wine on tap, I thought the selection was great! We also ordered food - homemade chips, soft pretzel, mozzarella sticks, and I had the meatloaf for dinner. The meatloaf was a bit overcooked, but my boyfriend loved his burger. The appetizers were great! I would definitely recommend this place to someone who is looking to hangout with friends over a few drinks and just sit and chill. We weren't rushed at all, which was a nice change as compared to some other restaurants in the area.
Ordered the wine sampler, beer sampler, and fish and chips. For the samplers, we just told the server our preferences and he picked them for us. I liked his choices! The pours are pretty good, so that was a plus. I tried a sip of the beers, and actually enjoyed them! The fish and chips were perfectly cooked. Fluffy batter and thick fries. Service was helpful and quick. Loved the atmosphere. Will be back!
Went here to meet up with a friend for some much needed girl talk. I've heard good things about Jamber, and their menu items looked good and decently priced. I ordered a wine sampler during happy hour, which was $16, $4 off the regular price. I got to sample four wines, which were around 3-4 ounces each. What I like is that the name of the wine is on the coaster, so I knew exactly what I was drinking and can take notes on it if I wanted to. Plus, it's a good deal, whether at the happy hour price or not, to check out the variety of wines they offer. I ordered a beet salad, which came with spinach, avocado, and walnuts. It was really good, and made me feel less guilty sharing fries with my friend. Which, by the way, was $4 and very abundant. The wait staff were really friendly, and didn't rush me as it got crowded. I was worried I'd have to give up the seat I was saving for my friend, but I didn't. The atmosphere is dark and loud, a perfect place to unwind after a hard day's work. I'd like to come back and try other items on the menu, especially the poutine.
Have been for lunch and for a work celebration. The food is consistently good. I’ve tried about half the items on the menu. If you’re in for drinks and snacks the pickle fries and the mozzarella sticks must have snacks. Their selection of beers is not extensive but is excellent.
Fantastic wine bar with both the beer and wine sampler on the happy hour menu ($18 each, 4 choices) and it starts early at 3:30 pm. The wine and beer arrives on coasters labeled with the name, type which is great. The food options were nothing to rave about, but arrived quickly. The curry popcorn, fries, pot pie were just right. Oh and they seem to have a plaid theme going here. The seating is great, both indoors and outdoor.
